Social by name Social by nature! By popular demand we're back to give you the cream of the planet's circus, street theatre, cabaret, stand up comedy, bands, DJs, school disco, pub games, knitwear, pickled eggs and a nice cup of tea from the WI!
Here are some of the highlights for this year's event.
OUTDOOR SPECTACULAR STUNT
Eyes to the Skies, Shambala- the grand finale for the Talent Show Cabaret at the Social Club on Friday and Saturday nights (9 pm) will be daredevil stunt master Kwabana Lindsay. He will take the roof off the Social Club or, more appropriately, climb onto the roof of the tent and complete (we hope!) a spectacular rope walk between the king poles. Both breath-taking and nerve-wracking, don't miss this rare, nail biting display of skill and nerve.
PUB OLYMPICS RETURNS TO THE SOCIAL CLUB
A Social Club afternoon highlight- Dad returns once more with the hilarious and interactive pub olympics. Get involved, bring a team and get stuck in. Ever thought Shambala was a bit mellow? ITS NOT ANY MORE! DJ Darcus and his Air-guitar-tastic-devil-horn-fists-in-the-air-time-to-ROCK DJ Set will raise the roof! Featuring Air Guitar Competition, Headbang Heats, Moshpit Mayhem, Spandex Spasms, Denim Dick Bulges, Leather Love Handles, Hair ....and REFRESHMENTS (squash) .......AAAAARRRGGGHH!
If that's not enough Rockin out for you we have:
The John E Vistic Experience - John E Vistic have something special... old school rock and roll with originality and freshness. Whisky-drenched vocal, incendiary guitar style and hypnotic stage presence. Beautiful, ugly, pure, dirty, powerful rock n roll songs with a raw and bleeding heart.
The Kiss of the Spider Woman - The most rock aerial act you are likely to see Rowan Fae performs kick ass rope and total spinning out finale with attitude.
And to top it all off Louis Barabbas and the Bedlam Six Theatrical, rockin dirt-swing. Truly incredible, if you don't come out dancing it's because you have neither heart nor soul. AAAARRRRGH!
The S FACTOR - TALENT SHOW FOR ALL
Hosted by Shambala stars Lorraine and Julie from Talent Show Cabaret fame, yes, you get to brush shoulders with the stars on this show! Judged by top notch celebrity panel of HOT stars (tbc) and with the winners voted by you, the audience. There will hardly be a dry seat in the house! So you wanna be a STAR?All you have to do is come to the S factor and get your talents out!
Can you: sing, dance, do hat tricks, balance a spoon on your nose, say the alphabet backwards while standing on your head, tell a joke, break dance, rap, beat box, act, clown, do impressions, do you and your friends and family want to make something for the show? Or is your special talent something completely weird that we can't even imagine yet? Ooh we hope so! The winner will get to perform in the Talent Show Cabaret on sat night with all the professionals.
All contestants please report to the Social Club on Friday between 13.00 & 14.00 to register.

Legendary Cabaret with an eclectic mix of huge talents - amazing circus from as far afield as Australia and Bristol! top music (Hot Potato Syncopators, Kid Carpet) Comedy street style from Covent Garden and an Italian stallion! Then as if that's not enough - Eyes to the skies Shambala. Don't miss the biggest stunt of the festival. One man walks one rope on the roof of the Social Club Big Top. Extreme danger and incredible nerve from Kwabana Lindsay. (Fri & Sat only - he's getting drunk on Sunday!).

Stand up comedy - with top comedians Windsor, Wayne Deakin and Elliot Mason
Elliot Mason - Former comedy writer/voice-over artist (Channel 4's 11 o'clock Show, Comedy Lab - "Shut up and dance", Political Awards etc), cabaret newcomer Elliot Mason combines the ordinary with the ridiculous with songs ranging from the mental anguish caused by the day they changed the name of the bathroom cleaning product from Jif to Cif, to musings on what it would be like to have a giant eyeball on your knee.
