Music & Stages

The music at Shambala has always been carefully curated to provide the perfect soundtrack to the festival. We never release the line up before the event however we do let a few closely guarded secrets slip once in a while! So keep your eyes peeled on the message boards and Facebook groups to keep up to date with all the musical going-ons.

For the time being, here is a little ow down of the central stages that we have on offer this year....

The Shambala Stage

This year's line up on the Shambala Stage is, without doubt, our strongest to date. Serving up a veritable smorgasbord of stunning sounds from the UK and around the globe, this is the place to laze on the grass in the inevitable heatwave and soak up the Shambala vibes!

The Kamikaze

From death defying circus and irreverent interactive games to downright dirty dubstep, bubbling bass and bad ass breaks, The Kamikaze is the place to be for daytime fun and frollics followed by nighttime dancefloor mayhem as we let loose breathtaking DJ performances and some ripping live shows.

Chai Wallah's

It is a delight to welcome the finest festival venue on the circuit to Shambala Festival. This weekend they are presenting an awesome collection of bands performing all manner of rootsy genres alongside a few forays into the realms of dance music. Oh yeah.... They also serve fantastic food and refreshments!

Sankofa's

Sankofa is an ancient symbol of the Akan people from Ghana which teaches us to look to our past for guidance and inspiration. Sankofa's is a brand new venue- a cosy, giant yurt immersed in the roots and new shoots of acoustic folk, African, Indian, jazz and classical musics.

Shambala is not about big arena style stages, far from it we spend a massive proportion of our budget on small, intimate and off the wall creative spaces so go to the Special areas page to get a better idea of what Shambala is famous for.
