Getting there

Location and directions will be provided with ticket purchase only.

Please consider how you travel to the event. A large part of our environmental impact is due to our travel to and from the festival. Sharing cars, using the coaches or even cycling to the event will massively reduce your travel related carbon.

All vehicles require a pass.

Living vehicle passes

Living Vehicle passes are for the Vehicle Camping field only, and are for converted vehicles & caravans, which are being slept in. Cars will not be allowed in this field, with the exception of cars dropping off caravans. Car and motorcycle passes are valid for parking only.

Car and motorbike passes

All cars, motorbikes and vans which are not being slept in require a car parking pass. There is no other local parking available.

Please offset your travel carbon

Please make a voluntary carbon payment when buying car or van tickets:
Your voluntary travel CO2 payments are based on your actual return journey distance. A full rationale for our carbon initiative is found HERE. We will continue to offset our own travel miles for crew, and work to reduce the events footprint overall, with the aim of becoming carbon zero by 2015.

The Shambala Express is a subsidised coach service from various locations around the UK, running on both Thursday and Friday again this year! This is the cheapest and most carbon-efficient way to come to the festival. The festival begins as soon as you board, with movies, BIG prize quiz(!) and a Shambala soundtrack. Departures this year from Brighton, London, Bristol, Sheffield and Birmingham and more t.b.c.

Hourly shuttle buses run between Market Harborough train station and the festival site from Thursday to Monday. Detailed information about times will be published on the website in 2011. The shuttle bus runs on biodiesel and donations are welcome to help cover costs.

Ditch the car, reduce your carbon and extend the holiday! Shambala has teamed up with Sustrans for the second year to offer guided cycle holidays from 10 towns and cities. Start locations currently: Bristol, Lechlade, Birmingham, Sheffield, London, Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield, Stoke, Middleton Cheney. Tickets are subsided by the festival to support this carbon-friendly way travel experience. 3 days rides cost £20, 2 day rides £15 and 1 day rides £10. Kids go free! £10 of all tickets go to maintaining National Cycle Network paths, and the other toward actual costs of running the rides. Please check the Cycle rides info page for lots of information about all the rides HERE.
