Fareshare South West receives good quality food from food manufacturers and distributors that would otherwise have gone to land fill. The food we receive has come straight from the distributor before it gets to the shops. We then give this out to organisations working with vulnerable people. We distribute around 30 tonnes of food per month.
This is good for the environment, good for the organisations we help and very good for the people that eat it. We also offer opportunities to disadvantaged people to come and volunteer with us and learn a trade and in this way we have helped people back up onto their feet
Come and visit us at the Shambala festival where we will be showing off our skills to give you some tasty, healthy snacks. You can also sign a petition to stop good food going to waste and if you have any good quality food you do not want to take home you can donate it to us as we know people who will love it!
