A Family Experience Like No Other

We are confident that Shambala this year will be the best family experience you could hope for. So whether you want relax in the sun by the lake with a pint, while the kids play in the sand-pit (sounds like heaven) or check out the family matinee shows at the Social Club and films at The Lost Picture House cinema, or participate in the many 100's of brilliant diverse workshops and activities, there is never a dull family moment to be had.

To make life even easier for families we have: doubled the amount of compost loos on site and increased the number of "Posh Wash" showers, introducing a new dedicated family vehicle field, we will be offering wheel barrows you can borrow for free to help get you kit to camp from car parks and asked all food traders to offer reasonably priced kids meals on their menus.

There will be a "baby space" in the heart of the event where you can feed, warm bottles without having to go all the way back to your tent and a Camp Site shop selling everything you could possibly need. Back in the family camping area there is a dedicated family yurt in the camping area, with toys, activities and bedtime stories with cocoa

We are proud to have one of the most vibrant kids field on the festival circuit. It's absolutely jam packed with activities, workshops and entertainment. We have creative chaos in the many art tents - make monsters, build badges, design costumes, get messy, draw dragons, and so much more - and you'll be able to take something home to remember the festival.

Teens will have their own space to hand out in with music and dance workshops or could Join the Festival Press Team as a reporter, photographer or editor, and get access all areas!

But best of all Shambala Festival is a famously warm natured and friendly festival with a wild side - parents like to party too!
