Set across 4 days on the August Bank Holiday weekend, the variety and quality of entertainment on offer is staggering for a festival of its size. With over 200 diverse musical acts across 14 live stages, world-class cabaret and, stand-up comedy, inspirational talks and debates, jaw dropping circus and acrobatics, interactive theatre and nationally acclaimed poetry all housed in beautifully crafted venues.
Stumble across late night secret hideaways curated by acclaimed arts collectives from all over the UK including; The RFID dome with their unique 360 degree immersive visuals, the sumptuously decadent LOST PICTURE SHOW cinema featuring live film scores and classic celluloid, and the legendary COMPASS who will bring all their talent and programming skill to titillate the festival goers. If you go down to the woods today
Expect the unexpected in the Wilderness Woodlands, home to surreal art installations, beautiful soundscapes, live theatre and huge scale AV installations through the night. And watch out for the gorillas in the mist!
And, if all that was not enough, don't miss the legendry grande finale with the infamous Pirate Technics. Be prepared for large scale pryo, performance and fireworks, against a backdrop of the stunning tree-lined lakes.
Spectating is not an option....
With over 200 timetabled workshops and activities there is no excuse not to get involved. Use your own hands, dance like a diva, sing like a lark. The legendary Shambala Fancy Dress Carnival Procession is second to none- each year the participant's costumes are taken to another level. This year's theme is "Around the world in 80 ways" brimming with adventurous and exotic potential- so get those thinking caps on and join in.

Setting and facilities
Shambala is set on a beautiful country estate in the heart of the English countryside with stunning lakes, lush flat fields, woodlands, and meadows. Over the bridges find healers waiting to massage and pamper fun fatigued limbs. Lounge around in hot tubs sipping cocktails or swim in the lake amongst giant lotus flowers.
Food & Drink
Over 50 local ales, the best ciders and beers and sumptuous cocktails designed by our in-house mixologists await your parched lips- all at reasonable prices. Our 6 onsite bars all have their own specific themes including: The Calypso- a Caribbean disco-dancing hotspot and The Wonky Cock- where you can try your hand at Blingo, or join in our new Debating Chamber where the free flowing liquors will lubricate your oratory skills.

Families
Shambala has long been known as being one of the most family friendly events with a wild side. We know what families need- we all have kids! This year we have a dedicated quiet family camping area a stones throw from the car-parks, a toddlers tent, baby bathing, one of the biggest kids areas known to the festival world and bedtime stories with cocoa in the campsite yurt.
Ethics and Green
Oh! By the way our event is 99% powered by wind sun and waste veg oil and has been judged the greenest outdoor event by Industry Green and A Greener Festival. We are completely independent and will be till the day we die! So you will not see any adverts trying to sell you stuff you don't need or want on site!
