We are the greenest festival in the UK

With slightly woozy heads from the overzealous celebrations, the Shambala team returned truimphantly from London yesterday after winning the presigious 'Greener Festival Award' at the UK Festival Awards Ceremony. This award was presented to us by the judges for producing a truly outstanding and inspirational event and deemed to be exceptional in: significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions, having excellent travel, transport and waste management programmes, protecting the environment and minimising water use and communicating this to the public.

In addition to the award we were also given an 'Outstanding' ranking by A Greener Festival - one of only 12 events worldwide to recieve this.
