"Shambala has become a byword for sustainability"

The Industry Green Award is the event industry's benchmark for sustainability and this year Shambala received the maximum 3 Stars in all areas- the highest award ever! The report, prepared by the Environmental Change Institute at Oxford University, stated that "for those in the know...Shambala has become a byword for sustainability."

We achieved a 15% reduction in total carbon fotprint compared to 2010 and we have reduced the carbon footprint per person at the event by over 50% in 3 years.  A feat that has never been achieved before!  This year the festival will again be 98% powered by wind, sun and waste veg oil, there will be more compost loos and we aim to massively increase recycling rates with your help.
