Shambala welcomes babies!
Most of Shambala's organisers have little ones and we understand that festivals can be a difficult place to cope with parenthood! We do, though, go out of our way to make it as easy as possible to bring the whole family to Shambala, whatever their ages.
So here's what we can offer this year:
- A NEW breastfeeding, nappy changing and bottle warming tent in the middle of the festival
- A NEW dedicated family camping area with buggy friendly gaps between tents
- The return of the Family Yurt with toddler play space, bedtime stories and a place to find information
- Play sandpits near to the lake to help you relax with a pint on a sunny afternoon!
- More calm entertainment areas suitable for little ears
- A NEW dedicated toddler/early years tent in the main festival with puppet shows, dance classes, workshops and stay and play sessions

- Come to the Natural Birthing tent for advise on active birthing, or just to rest and recuperate.
- Use the ample seating across the site to have a quick breather
- Be reassured by the top class medical and welfare services we have onsite
- Of course we offer no advice on whether or not to attend- that's up to you....

- There will be a free wheelbarrow service to help families with their kit - a deposit is required and although we do our best, at busy times, all the barrows might be in use.
- All the general Family Camping Areas are flat, have hot showers and compost toilets. They are stewarded 24 hours a day, are mostly quiet and have a midnight curfew for loud noise. They are the closest areas to the carpark. Please bear in mind that there will be some background noise cuz it's a festival afterall, innit!
- Families will be sent a Family Information Sheet with full details about all the activities for kids.
- We make ever effort to make the whole site child friendly with things to climb and fun in the woods!
PLEASE BEAR IN MIND: We are not a sanitised experience. Although we welcome families with children of all ages, we are a festival with a wild side...
